For the past several years, Mr. Hsieh Yuan Chi, the Master or Guru in Chinese religious teachings to the members of I-Kuan Tao Association in Taiwan and overseas joined Mrs. Linda Anavachakarn of CAL Intertrade Co., Ltd, Bangkok in conducting charitable deeds for the poor and needy people. When Mr. Lin Tsai Ching, the Leader of I-Kuan Tao Association and President of Tian Huang Foundation in Taiwan learned about the activities, appointed his disciple Mr. Hsieh to formally continue in engaging the charitable works in educating vegetarianism among Thai members and newcomers and donations to less fortunate people in food and clothings. Both Mr. Hsieh and Mrs. Linda joined in the donation for the recent Tsunami victims in Phuket.
In this context, the Tian Foor Dharma Satharn Foundation is officially registered during 2005 with the Ministry of Religion and Culture, Thailand. The Principles or Morals of the Foundation is based on the teachings of Buddhist religious ideals together with that of I-Kuan Tao. Well known and highly respected Professor Dr. Maitree Suttajit of the School of Science and Technology, Phayao Campus, Naresuan University, Thailand offers his invaluable advises to the development of the Foundation and its vegetarianism worldwide.

Activities 2006 & 2007
The Tian Foor Dharma Satharn Foundation applied to host the Third Asian Vegetarian Congress with the President of Asian Vegetarian Union, Mr. Sri Jashu Shah in India during the 37th World Vegetarian Congress held in Goa, India from 10-16 September 2006. The Foundation is accepted to host the Third Asian Vegetarian Congress in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 3-7 November 2007. The email address is thirdavc_taiwan@tianfoor.com The Second Asian Vegetarian Congress was held in Bangkok from 19-26 March 2006. Vegetarian originally implies a balanced philosophical and moral sense of life, a lot more than just a diet of vegetables and fruits.
The Foundation is planing to help the poor in offering to get themselves self supporting on just and equitable earnings. The Foundation is approaching the Suan Dusit University in Bangkok for developing vegetarian foods and the King Mongkut Institute of Technology, Thonburi for developing production of vegetarian foods. Further development of the earnings for the poor will come from franchising the foods products.
Professor Dr. Maitree Suttajit will kindly hold seminars on the knowledge of vegetarianism while Dr. Chavalit Anavachakarn, MD and President of CAL Intertrade Co, Ltd. will give lessons on Meditation Training. |

Initiation and the Three Treasures
A new follower has to go through the Initiation ceremony and then given the “The Three Treasures”
- The Mysterious Gate of Heavenly Peace or the Third Eye in the Meridian which is believed to be where the soul lives in the body. It is believed that the Master opens this Gate allowing one’s soul to transcend to Heaven when one dies
- The Secret Mantra, a five word mantra which is believed to be able to call upon the dieties in times of troubles.
- The Contract Mudra or Symbolic Seal, a hand gesture derived from Taoist and Buddhist practice, symbolizing the follower becoming one of the children of God.
Literature
There are many western studies on this movement. The first comprehensive study is by David K. Jordan and described in his book “The Flying Phoenix”. Recent studies include Philip Clart. A thesis by Jo Swinnen (in Dutch language) from Katbolieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. A book by Meir Shahar on Ji Gong titled “Crazy Ji” also has a section on I-Kuan Tao.
Belief
The Tian Foor Dharma Satharn Foundation Belief is based on I-Kuan Tao’s guidelines and Buddhism. Be filial to parents, establish trust and harmony among friends and neighbours. Be kind and practice selflessness, righteousness and instill simplicity and innocence in oneself. To practice charitable deeds by assisting less fortunate needy people in alleviating hunger and poverty.
